On the afternoon of June 19, the 2020 Graduation Ceremony for International Students was held in the conference hall of the Student Center in the Yellow River Conservancy Technical Institute (YRCTI). Chen Desheng, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Underground Tunneling Sub-bureau of Sinohydro Bureau 11 Co., Ltd., Li Jibin, Director of the Liaison and Cooperation Department, members of the Party and Government group of the School of International Education, teachers and international graduates attended the ceremony. The ceremony was presided over by Zheng Jin, Deputy Dean of the School of International Education.

Wang Aiqin, Dean of the School of International Education, congratulated the international students on their graduation and expressed gratitude to Sinohydro Bureau 11 for its in-depth cooperation with YRCTI in training international students. She sent messages to graduates, hoping them remain enterprising, responsible and open-minded with public-spiritedness, and be committed to promoting the "Belt and Road" implementation, the building of a community with a shared future for mankind, and contributing to the friendly exchange between China and foreign countries. Wang Aiqin also announced the roll of international graduates in 2020 and awarded them diplomas.

Chen Desheng introduced the achievements of Zambia Dayu School and expressed his gratitude to YRCTI for cultivating a large number of urgently needed international technical talents for enterprises. He hoped that in the future, the university-enterprise cooperation will be further deepened, and Zambia Dayu School will serve as a base to train technical talents for southern Africa, and contribute to the "Belt and Road" initiative.

Teacher representative Wang Xiaolan asked the graduates to become messengers who "tell China's story well, spread China's voice well" in the future. Chris, a graduate representative, expressed gratitude to Dayu School for its training and said that he would use the knowledge and technology learned at the school to build Zambia.

In recent years, YRCTI has taken multiple measures to build the brand of "Institute for International Students", kept innovating the training mode of international students, and enrolled and trained 480+ students from 31 countries. It provides a steady flow of foreign technical talents for Chinese enterprises to "go global". Last year, YRCTI and Sinohydro Bureau 11 selected outstanding students from Zambia Dayu School to study in China. These students, after returning to Zambia, will work at the Kafue Gorge Lower Hydropower Station in Zambia and contribute to the construction of Sinohydro Bureau 11's overseas projects and the economic and social growth of Zambia.
